JUI-F quits coalition government

ISLAMABAD: JUI-F chief Fazl ur Rehman announced to quit coalition government in protest of sacking of his minister Azam Swati, Geo News reported Tuesday.

Maulana Fazlur Rehman announced the decision after chairing an emergency meeting of Majlis-e-Shura held to review the situation emerged after the prime minister sacked two of his warring ministers, one of them from JUI-F.

Earlier today, Prime Minister Syed Yousuf Raza Gilani sacked Hamid Saeed Kazmi and JUI-F's Azam Swati from their portfolios following a dispute involving hajj scandal and a tirade between the two ministers.
